It has strange odor. Boiling point: 134.5°C, specific gravity D₂₅²⁵ 0.8647, freezing point: -18°C, flash point:32°C (open cup method). It is a strong organic caustic liquid, the PH value of 0.01% water solution is 10.5. It can form azeotrope with water at 96.40°C, miscible with a lot of organic solvents.

Appearance: Colorless to light yellow transparent liquid; no visible impurities. It's allowed to turn a little dark in storage.

Used for rubber chemicals, insecticides, dyestuffs, surface active agents and etc.
